Inspired by Bryan P. Beirne, Ph. D.

Welcome to our First Issue.

It all began for me with a rather simple, innocent and innocuous e-mail message to, the then unknown to me, Patrick Lavin who said he would forward my message to Bryan Beirne who was researching the O'Beirnes. Bryan wrote back to say he was writing a book on the "notable" O'Beirnes. Now, who would you define as "notable"?

Well, a few months later and 157 pages of The Family O'Beirne under our belts, we now know what Professor Beirne meant by "notable." He has done our small Sept a wonderful favor and is an inspiration to us all.

Bravo! Bryan. crests~1.jpg (9137 bytes)

My most sincere thanks to all who contributed to our first issue and to those who may be inspired to write for our next. As Con Byrne (sive O'Beirne) would say, "May the rain fall softly on your fields." minsham.TIF (5548 bytes)
